Jocko Mahoney & Me!

Hi.....My name is Judy.  I have been invited to share some photos of Jocko Mahoney.
(This is Jocko with me in 1989.  We had gotten together for breakfast at the Sportsman Lodge in Sherman Oaks, California.  This was the last time I saw him.)

Going thru my photos, I came up with many, from the first time we met in 1954 until the last time I saw him just before he moved to Washington state, where he passed away in 1989. What wonderful memories I have of the times we shared. He was such a wonderful human being and a real delight to be associated with. The last few years of his life, we got together for his birthday, no matter where I was living, I headed for the San Fernando Valley every Feb. 7th. We'd go to dinner, Jock, his lovely wife Autumn, my husband and I. He surprised me by coming to Las Vegas for mine as well. I wish I would have had a camera on lots of occasions when one wasn't available, like the time he came to L.A.X. to see us off to Hawaii, it was pouring rain, but he came anyway, all wet. My camera was packed. So many times, he brightened my day. He had such a handsome smile, that was the first thing I noticed about him, way back in '54, while flipping channels I came across The Range Rider with that smile and laugh that he had, and I was immediately taken by him. Little did I know we'd end up in a friendship that would last for 45 years. I'm so thankful for the opportunity of knowing him and the impact he had on my life over the years.
