Bob was an actor and a stuntman.He has
worked with Chuck Connors in Big Country (1958) ― Designing Woman
(1957).
His first
stunt was in 1947 Dark Passage. He went on to do many
stunts until his accident in 1962.
He was married to Yvonne De Carlo. Morgan was
very severely injured and nearly died while performing a stunt during
the shooting of How the West Was Won (1962). During the filming of a
gunfight that takes place on a moving railroad flatcar loaded with logs,
one of the chains that held the logs snapped, and Morgan was crushed by
the falling timber and lost a leg. It took him five years to recover
from his injuries. His wife, actress Yvonne De Carlo, put her career on
hold in order to nurse him back to health.
He had done
stunts for many of the top box office movies and stunt double
for many of great actor: John Wayne ― Rod Cameron ― Randolph
Scott ― Randolph Scott ― Chuck Connors ― Willard Parker.
