After Lucas gets up from being dragged, there’s only a little hay in his front shirt pockets. But when he walks over to stand by Mark and says, “This is our home. We’re staying.” there’s a TON of hay in there! Then as the camera angles change on Lucas and Mark, the amount of hay in Lucas’ pockets appears to diminish all by itself!
Also, in real life, don’t you think that Lucas’ shirt would have been torn or ripped or at least dirtier than it was? Just the top two closures came open. What about some wounds on his chest instead of nothing? Thanks Ann Marie!
In Sam Peckinpah's book - If They Move . . . Kill 'Em!: The Life and Times of Sam Peckinpah by David Weddle talks about Sam Peckinpah's family ranch was The Dunlap Ranch. Several different sections on some very interesting things about The Rifleman.
