George was an actor and a
stunt man. He became one of the founding fathers of modern
movie stunt work in films from the early '30s. He performed stunts from 1932 to
1966 with a hundred and fifty-one credits and three hundred
and forty film credits.
He doubled for Bela Lugosi in
The
Raven & Reginald Barlow in Bride of Frankenstein (1935).
George is known for his
work on The Gay Amigo (1949) ― Dick Tracy (1937)
― Satan's
Cradle (1949).
He appeared in several Dick Tracy movies.....
Dick Tracy as
Henchman Flynn 1937 ― Dick Tracy Returns as stunt double for
Ralph Byrd 1938 ― Dick Tracy's G-Men as Jack and stuntman
1939 ― Dick Tracy, The Movie 1990 as Flynn.
I couldn't even begin to
list his credits, this is one of the largest list I have
seen!
George DeNormand was born November 22, 1903, in New York City, New York
He died December 23, 1976 in Los Angeles, California
