Herbert Rudley appeared twice in
The Rifleman ― The Indian as Gorman, the
Indian hater ― A Case of Identity as Captain Jerry Gordon,
he's the
guy who was trying to pass off Mark as Aaron Wingate's son.
Herbert Rudley attended Temple University for two
years. He left Temple after winning a scholarship to Eva
Le Gallienne's Civic Repertory Theatre. He began appearing on
stage in 1926. His Broadway debut was in Did I Say No
in 1931. He also appeared in stage productions of The Three
penny Opera, Abe Lincoln in Illinois and Macbeth.
Herbert Rudley appeared in twenty-one theatrical
films and also appeared on many TV programs beginning in 1950 ―
Dallas ― The Mothers-in-Law ― The Mothers-in-Law ― Mona McCluskey ― Michael Shayne ― The Californians ― The Beverly
Hillbillies.
He has appeared in quite a few movies

Herbert Rudley was
born March 22, 1911 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
He died September 9, 2006 Los Angeles County, California aged 96, from a
heart attack
