Kevin
McCarthy played Mark Twain in The
Shattered Idol ― Suspicion as Winslow Quince
the eccentric man Lucas & Mark ran into who was stranded with a
broken wheel.
He later appeared with Chuck in
Once Upon a Texas Train, he
played the Governor.
He earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in
Death of a Salesman. He has performed his one-man show
Give 'em Hell, Harry (as
Harry S. Truman) for over 20 years, and has played the role in every
state but Alaska and South Dakota. In addition, he won an Obie award
for playing President Truman in another play, Harry Outside
in 1975.
Kevin has done many of things but I would say, besides
The Rifleman the one movie I remember him
best for is Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
Kevin has appeared in nearly 100 movies in a career that has spanned seven decades.
Kevin McCarthy was born in Seattle, Washington on February 15, 1914 He died September 11, 2010 in Hyannis, Massachusetts
