Pepe Hern

Pepe Hern appeared in three episodes of The RiflemanVaqueros as Abuelito Lazaro, he's the one that was given Lucas' shirt and the one who took Mark on ahead ― Waste 1 & 2 as Sleeper, one of Alphonso's men.

Pepe Hern played mostly supporting roles, usually Spanish and Latins, throughout his career. Pepe appeared in nearly 50 films (most of which were premiered in television).  He was in Borderline (1950) ― Make Haste to Live The Magnificent Seven (1960) and was a priest in the movie Joe Kidd (1972).

Pepe Hern was a frequent and well loved substitute teacher at Saticoy and Strathern Elementary Schools in Los Angeles during the 60s while a guest star on many TV westerns. He also subbed at Burbank Blvd. Elementary School in the 60s and is fondly remembered for his mesmerizing and enthralling rendition of The Telltale Heart.
