piddlin stuff.....Before Lucas leaves La Mesa, Marshal Burks offers Lucas his wanted poster as a souvenir, Lucas doesn't take it. Boy would I love to have that poster!!!!!
hmmmmm.....here we have a veterinarian, Hyram Todd or should I say his office. We never get to see him. I though Doc Burrage was the doctor and the veterinarian?
How about that scar on [Chris Alcaide] Ross' face? And his blonde hair?
Joe Higgins played Nils Swenson. Is it Nils or is it Nels/Niles? What is his last name.....Swenson/Svenson aka The Blacksmith? Joe Higgins holds the record for playing Nils or was it Niles or Nels? There were four episodes that Joe did not play Nils or was it Niles or Nels?
He played the bartender in Strange Town — Rafe the blacksmith in The Wyoming Story part 2 — Short Rope for a Tall Man as Henry Schneider the horse thief — Stopover as Scotty the Stagecoach Driver. Stopover was the only episode to run one day over schedule.
Did you see Milly give Mark a smidgen of a kiss goodnight? Love the end of this episode where Milly's eyes fill up with tears when she & Micah were talking to Mark back at the ranch when Mark said his Pa wasn't coming home anymore?
If you look close at the one heifer Lucas bought and brought home in the end of The Wyoming Story part 2 ~ the one with the black mark around it's left eye and compare it to Bossie in Young Englishman they look the like the same heifer.
The plague on the house read — "This house rebuilt by Lucas McCain and his son Mark — Aug. 1881 ― May God bless out home" ― but in Home Ranch who helped rebuild the McCain Ranch?

Joan Taylor played Milly Scott. Milly bought The General Store from Hattie Denton. Hattie had to leave to go and help her sister in Denver. Joan Taylor appeared in eighteen episodes as Milly Scott and was introduced to The Rifleman in Miss Milly.
Kent Taylor appeared in two episodes ― The Wyoming Story 1 & 2 as Forbes McKee, the man who ran the trading post.
Russell Thorson appeared in two episodes ― The Wyoming Story 1 & 2 as Marshal Burks.
Enid Jaynes appeared in six episodes of The Rifleman ―Panic as Amy Barker, she was the lady who had the fever ― The Wyoming Story - part 1 & 2 as Aggie, the woman who wanted Lucas to take her with him when he returned to North Fork. She and Dabbs Greer played in two of The Rifleman episodes together ― Panic and The Wyoming Story.
Quiet Fear as Abbey Striker, the woman who was deaf — Waste - part 1 & 2, she was the pregnant woman, the one who slapped Lucas's face at the end of the episode.
She did not have one speaking line in Waste or in Quiet Fear.

Chris Alcaide appeared in ten episodes ― The Trade as Hamp Ferris, he was the cowboy who wanted to turn Morley in for the reward ― Obituary as Panama Billings, he was the gunfighter who rode into North Fork trying to make a name for himself and another notch on his gun ― A Case of Identity as Lon Perry, he was the cowboy along with his partner Captain James Gordon who scheme to make Wingate think Mark was his son ― A Time for Singing as Spence, the leader of a gang of bank robbers who were going to rob the North Fork Bank ― Meeting at Midnight as Schroeder, he was working with Benton & Morgan to break Carl Miller out of jail ― Dead Cold Cash as Ben Casper, the attorney for Sara Caruthers ― The Wyoming Story part 1 & 2 as Ross, the Henchman for Forbes McKee the Indian Agent ― The Journey Back as Will Carney, he was looking for revenge for his brother's death ― Squeeze Play as Dave Rankin, the heavy for Willard Prescott.
Gee how many times did John Anderson star in The Rifleman? Who appeared in the most episodes Chris Alcaide or John Anderson? How about John Milford?
Dabbs Greer is one of your most well known character actors. He has been in the business for over five decades. He has appeared in The Rifleman eight times ― Outlaw's Inheritance as Marcus Trimble, the lawyer from Santa Fe ― Boomerang as Sam Elder, the elderly gentleman who was about to loose his ranch ― Panic as Brett, the towns trouble maker ― The Jailbird as Farley Weaver, the man just released from prison ― The Promoter as Jack Scully, the man who was taking bets on Reuben Miles ― The Wyoming Story (1 & 2) as Finny and The Stand-In as Taylor, one of the prison guards.
John Rice appeared in a total of eight episodes, seven episodes as a Townsman and one as a barfly. ― Day of the Hunter ― A Case of Identity ― The Fourflusher ― The Promoter ― Miss Bertie as a barfly ― The Wyoming Story ― Face of Yesterday - Anvil Chorus.

Joe E. Benson appeared in The Rifleman many times, probably more times than listed. Sometimes credited & sometimes not.
*Please note: In Dark Day at North Fork he appeared as two different characters - as one of the townsmen & the bartender.
Joe was a good friend & a neighbor of Chuck's. He helped Chuck build a tree house for the boys and also help build the addition onto the house which was later called the den. (One of the several tree house pictures)
